Accessibility
Every student deserves full access to this portal — regardless of ability, disability, or device.
Our Commitments
Built for every student
Readable Text
All text is rendered at sufficient size and contrast to be readable by students with low vision. Body text meets WCAG AA contrast standards against all background colours used on this portal.
Keyboard Navigation
The portal is fully navigable using a keyboard alone. Interactive elements — links, buttons, forms — receive visible focus indicators so you always know where you are on the page.
Light & Dark Mode
The portal offers both light and dark themes switchable from the navigation bar. Dark mode reduces eye strain in low-light environments and benefits students with certain visual sensitivities.
Mobile-First Design
Every page is fully responsive and tested on small screens. Students accessing the portal via mobile phones — the most common device on campus — receive a first-class experience.
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML elements, ARIA labels, and descriptive alt text are used throughout the portal to ensure compatibility with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Reduced Motion
The portal respects your device's "reduce motion" preference. Students who experience discomfort from animations can enable this setting in their OS and the portal's transitions will be minimised automatically.
