Hostel Renovation: Blocks C and D to Reopen by March

Progress Report on Hostel Renovation

The SUG Welfare Directorate has received confirmation from the university's Physical Plant department that renovation works on Blocks C and D of the student hostel are approximately 80% complete.

The blocks are expected to be ready for occupation by March 15th, 2025, in time for the second semester. A total of 420 bed spaces will be added to the available hostel accommodation.

Improvements Included

• New water supply system with 24-hour supply
• New electrical wiring and stable power outlets
• Repainted walls and new ceiling fans in all rooms
• Improved bathroom and toilet facilities
• New common room with Wi-Fi access point
