JAMO- LED SUG ADMINISTRATION HAS LEFT A LASTING LEGACY THROUGH UNPRECEDENTED PROJECTS, STUDENT-FOCUSED REFORMS AND TRANSFORMATIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The running of the Students Union Government (SUG) led by Comrade Jamo is broadly called one of the most effective and changing student governments in the history of Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja.

Between June 2025 and July 2026, the administration started a bold path covering infrastructure growth, welfare progress, academic support, digital changes, transport updates, health actions, and partnership plans, creating a great history helping many student generations later.

The management effectively joined forward-thinking rules with useful execution, making sure pledges became real outcomes.

A key feature of that administration involved dedication toward constructing enduring physical structures able to serve pupils past the duration of the ruling party. Completed legacy initiatives included establishing the SUG Car Wash Project, installing official SUG billboards at key spots, developing and launching the official SUG website, procuring and commissioning two official SUG buses, and producing the institutions official SUG Magazine meant to record student events and keep the union history safe.

The Administration also started building the SUG Relaxation Centre, while work kept going on furnishing and equipping the new SUG Office located at PSITE.

Digital student services were similarly expanded to improve accessibility and communication between students and the union.

These initiatives have greatly bolstered the operational capability of the Student body and generated useful resources for upcoming leadership teams.

One of its major successes involved restoring the Students Union funds, allowing the entire executives to carry out further development work and welfare schemes.
