OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF WINNER – SUG DIRECTOR OF ACADEMICS

The Jamo-Led Students' Union Government proudly congratulates Ahmed Ganiyu (Ahmed AG) on his emergence as the duly elected SUG Director of Academics for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Ahmed Ganiyu secured 3,519 votes, thereby earning the mandate to coordinate academic advocacy and represent students' educational interests.

The Office of the Director of Academics is central to protecting students' academic welfare. The office serves as the principal liaison between students and academic authorities, advocates for improved learning conditions, coordinates tutorial initiatives, addresses examination-related concerns, and promotes academic excellence throughout the University.

The Jamo-Led Students' Union Government administration encourages the Director-elect to uphold integrity, fairness, and dedication in carrying out these responsibilities. The expectations of students remain high, particularly regarding examination reforms, academic support programmes, improved communication with faculties, and constructive engagement with University Management.

We applaud every candidate who participated in the election and appreciate the maturity displayed by supporters throughout the campaign period.
