MEMORANDUM

DATE: June 21st, 2026

TO: The Entire Student Community

FROM: President, Students' Union Government, University of Abuja.

Dear Students,

One Year in Office – A Message of Gratitude and Commitment

Exactly one year ago today, I stood before you and took the oath of office as your SUG President. That day, I made a promise to serve you with integrity, transparency, and dedication. Looking back at the past 365 days, I can honestly say that promise has remained my compass.

This past year has been a journey of ups and downs. We have recorded some wins, and we have also faced challenges that tested our resolve. Through it all, your patience, feedback, and support have kept this administration going. You held us accountable when we needed it, and you encouraged us when we were tired. For that, I am deeply grateful.

I want to acknowledge that we have not achieved everything we set out to do. Some projects took longer than expected. Some decisions were not popular. But I can assure you that every action taken was done with your best interest at heart. We have worked tirelessly to make your stay on campus better, and we remain committed to doing more.

To my EXCOS and all SUG officials who served alongside me, they deserve your recognition as much as I do. They gave their time, energy, and sometimes their comfort just to ensure that this administration delivered. I am proud of the team we built.

As we enter the second year of this tenure, I want to reassure you that we are not slowing down. We will continue to listen, to act, and to improve. Your voice matters to us, and we will keep the doors of communication open.

Once again, thank you for trusting me with this responsibility. I do not take it lightly. Let's keep moving forward together.

Yours in service,

Comr. Yusuf Tobi Jamiu,

President, Students' Union Government,

University of Abuja.
