SUG Condemns Assault on Students — Demands Investigation

Official Statement

The Students Union Government of the University of Abuja views with grave concern the reported incident involving the assault of students near the North Gate on the evening of 5th February 2025.

We stand firmly with the affected students and demand the following from the university administration and relevant security agencies:

• Immediate and comprehensive investigation into the incident
• Increased security presence at the North Gate and surrounding areas
• Identification and prosecution of all persons responsible
• Provision of medical and psychological support to affected students
