Yesterday, in line with its commitment to building purposeful leadership, #TheOrhayMovement visited the Old Girls' Hostel to assess the welfare and immediate needs of students.
While addressing the students, the Director General of the campaign, H.E. Akingbolu Muhammed Abiola, GCOL, President of LAWSAN, University of Abuja, emphasized the importance of engaging students through direct, face-to-face interactions in order to identify their challenges and provide practical solutions.
Speaking during the visit, Orhay asked the students to share their most pressing needs and where they believed he could make an immediate impact. One of the students identified access to clean, drinkable water as a major concern.
The movement immediately swung into action.
About 500 bags of sachet water were distributed, alongside over 100 packs of cooked food, to support the students.
#TheOrhayMovement is built on the ideals of purposeful leadership: identifying problems, listening to the people, and providing practical solutions. This is a commitment the movement has made, and one it will continue to uphold.
Join the movement today.
Let's build a better Students' Union Government.
